Thank you, again.
All parishioners need to have a picture taken for our 2025 Directory. The deadline for all pictures is February 8th for the Spanish families and February 9th for Sunday mass members.
We would like to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for all you do for our church and the support you give to us. May God reward you for everything you do. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
Fr. Pontian and Fr. Emmanuel
On Sunday, volunteers from our Saint Vincent de Paul Society distributed Thanksgiving meals to more than 20 families. They also presented our neighbors with new winter coats to take if needed! The coats were donated by our friends at St. John Neumann Church in Knoxville. If you would like to learn how to get involved with the local conference, please join us at our next meeting scheduled for Sunday, December 8, immediately following mass. (many other dedicated volunteers served today but pictured below are Kathy, Jan, Barb, Kate & Tim)
If you missed buying an American Flag for a member of your family member(s) that has served our country in the military, please see the flyer on the back table in the Narthex. It costs $25 per flag for each person being honored. The flags are up now for Veteran's Day and will be taken down after that, and placed again for Pearl Harbor Day, Dec. 7, 2025. Then you will get all the military holidays for all of 2026 included. We accept cash or checks made out to: GS CCW. It is a fund raiser we are sharing with the local chapter of DAV. Please see Jan K. if you have any questions. Thank you.
We are continuing to be supporting the victims of Hurricane Helena. The distribution Center located in our basement is taking a good deal of volunteer time. Thanks for your understanding.
(Originally planned for October 19)
We need to inform everyone that our parish picnic scheduled for Oct. 5th has been cancelled due to the emergency/flooding in our county.
We hope to have the picnic on November 10th in conjunction with Fr. Pontian’s birthday, Deacon Otto’s anniversary as a deacon, and Veterans Day.
There will be more details later. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please pray for parishioners who had serious loss of property (ila and Joe Martin) and two who lost their lives. (Michael and Jean Obrist) If you have our old directory, you can see them there.
